Regularly some of my employees or mentees asked me one advice on how to be (really) happy at work. Tough question. 🤔🤨
While a lot of things contribute to my job satisfaction such as working on something relevant, delivering results, having a great boss, getting trusted by my company, being surrounded by very clever guys and learning every day, having an impact on our business, solving problems … there is one thing that really makes me happy:
Just be kind and always remember that you are never too important to be nice to people.
It’s a fact: a shitty day full of escalations and burning topics can still make you happy if you showed compassion and empathy to others, no matter what they do or where they sit in the organisation.
Very true!
